Biomedical Science is the study of life and the application of cutting-edge technology to improve human health through the prevention, detection and treatment of diseases using modern diagnosis and intervention methods. The achievements of Biomedical Science have had a direct and significant impact on our daily lives. Along with Information Technology, Biomedical Science is considered by the world’s leading experts as the science of the 21st century, with a revolutionary role in human life in the future.
With the goal of preparing students with in-depth knowledge of modern biology as well as clinical and paraclinical medicine to develop new medical techniques, and at the same time training excellent scientists in the field of health science with the mission to discover new methods in the prevention, protection, and treatment of diseases for the community, the bachelor’s program in Biomedical Science of the VN-UK Institute for Research and Executive Education, under the support of UK universities and the University of Danang, was approved by the Ministry of Education and Training since 2016. This is the first international-standard Biomedical Science training program implemented in Vietnam.
The training program is developed on the basis of the international-standard training program of Aston University in the UK, with a high degree of adaptability to societal needs. The Biomedical Science training program is based on a credit system and includes mandatory and optional modules, allowing students to be flexible in their study plan to complete the course.
