Direct admission regulated by the Ministry of Education and Training

A.DIRECT ADMISSION

If you entered the international, national, or city-level exams, you are fully eligible to directly enter all majors of VNUK Institute for Research and Executive Education:

1. Candidates who graduated from high school and participated in the national team selection competitions for the International Olympic and International Science and Engineering Fair are eligible for direct admission to all majors at the VNUK Institute for Research and Executive Education.

Considering in 2021, 2022 and 2023, competing results of the International Olympic and International Science and Engineering Fair national teams’ under-graduated participants are preserved until the end of the year.

Competing results of the International Olympic and International Science and Engineering Fair national teams’ under-graduated participants are preserved until they graduate.

2. Candidates graduated from high school who won First, Second, and Third prizes in the National examination for excellent students or in the National Science and Engineering competition are eligible for direct admission at the VNUK Institute for Research and Executive Education.

Considering the years: 2021, 2022 and 2023, under-graduated candidates are able to preserve their National Excellent Students awards until they graduate. Please refer to the admission guidelines for more details.

Applicable majors: 

3. Candidates who won First, Second, and Third prizes in the National Science and Engineering competition  are eligible for direct admission at the VNUK Institute for Research and Executive Education. Please refer to the following guidelines for more details.

Conditions: Graduated from high school, met the entrance quality assurance set by the Ministry, won the First, Second, and Third prizes in the National Science and Engineering competition. Considering the years: 2021, 2022 and 2023, under-graduated candidates are able to preserve their National Excellent Students awards until they graduate.

Applicable majors: 

4. Other policies set by the Ministry of Education and Training.

VN-UK Institute for Research and Executive Education will submit to the Admission Council of the University of Da Nang for consideration and decision on admission to the candidates’ desired major, based on their profile, including:

• Hero of Labor, Hero of the People’s Armed Forces, National Emulation Soldier who graduated from high school.

• Those who pause their education for military or volunteer work on graduating year, after being discharged, if they acquired regiment rank or were introduced to the General Youth Volunteer Union, meet all the conditions and health requirements, and obtain all valid documents, will be considered for admission at their previously qualified universities.

• Candidates who have permanent residence for 3 years or more, studied for 3 years and graduated from high school in poor districts (minority ethnic high school students are considered according to their permanent residence), from the application documents for admission submitted date  according to the provisions of the Government’s Resolution No. 30a/2008/NQ-CP dated December 27th, 2008 on the Program to support for fast and sustainable poverty reduction for 61 poor districts and Decision No. 275/QD-TTg dated 07 March 2018 of the Prime Minister approving the list of poor districts and districts escaping poverty for the period of 2018-2020; candidates are ethnic minorities according to current regulations of the Government and candidates living in the 20 poor border districts and islands in the Southwest region. Candidates who graduate from high school with good grades are considered for direct admission to VNUK. If the number of registrants exceeds the targeted amount, admission will be considered from top to bottom according to their high school results until the quota is met. These candidates have to study for 1 year of additional knowledge before entering the official semester. The additional knowledge program is prescribed by the Director of the University of Da Nang.

• Candidates who are severely disabled with a certificate of disability issued by a competent authority according to regulations: VN-UK Institute for Research and Executive Education will based on the student’s academic records (high school transcript), health status and submit to the Admission Council of The University of Da Nang for consideration and decision as required by the academic discipline.

• Foreign candidates who want to study at the VN-UK Institute for Research and Executive Education: VNUK will based on the student’s academic records (high school transcript), and the results of the Vietnamese efficiency test specified in Article 6 of Circular No. 30/2018/TT-BGDDT dated December 24th, 2018 and submit to the Admission Council of The University of Da Nang for consideration and decision.

B. PRIORITISED ADMISSION

Candidates graduated from high school, met the criteria of the entrance quality assurance prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training, won the National Excellent Students Selection Contest and the National Science and Engineering competition in the years: 2021, 2022, and 2023 if they do not apply for the direct admission in section 2 and 3, points will be added to the total of admission score of the major’s suitable combination: 1st prize add 2 points; 2nd prize add 1.5 points; 3rd prize add 1.0 point; consolation prizes add 0.5 points.
