Daegu Haany University (DHU) is one of the few universities that specialize in Oriental Medicine in Korea. The school’s headquarters is located far from Daegu in Gyeongsang City.
Established in 1980, DHU has contributed a significant part to fostering special talents in the field of Oriental Medicine in Korea. DHU has made many positive changes in education, facing widespread globalization. The university mainly focuses on biotechnology (BT), cultural technology (CT), information technology (IT), and interdisciplinary research training.
With modern and innovative educational orientations, DHU is currently the preferred choice of many Korean students. In order to further promote globalization, the university has been increasing exchanges and learning opportunities with many other universities both at home and abroad. DHU’s vision in the near future is to become a forefront university of traditional medicine and the healthcare industry. The school’s development goals also include improving the system of facilities, specializing in training disciplines, and improving competitiveness in education.

• DHU only accepts 2nd or 3rd year VNUK students to exchange.

Note
• The number of subjects taught in English is quite limited, only a few skill subjects are taught in English.
• Most subjects are taught in Korean.
• Completed at least 1 year of study at VNUK;
• GPA of at least 2.5/4.0 (up to registration);
• Approved by the Head of Department/Dean of the Faculty about program participation and the study intended subjects at DHU.
1. Application for participation in the program;
2. A transcript of study at VNUK (in English);
3. Certificate of being a VNUK student (in English);
4. A letter of recommendation from VNUK;
5. An essay (300 words/page, Topic: why do you want to study in Korea, plan to study in Korea, future plan after returning to VNUK);
6. Copy of the passport;
7. 03 Passport photo (4*5cm);
8. Proof of financial resources (USD 6,000 (for one semester) or USD 11,000 (for one academic year).

• DHU tuition: free.
• VNUK tuition: Students must pay at VNUK for the semester in which the student attends an exchange course and the amount of this tuition fee depends on the subject and the number of credits that the students enroll in VNUK Academic Affairs Office will notify parents and students of this tuition fee before leaving for school.
