VNUK has the following organizational structure:
The school council of a public university is an administrative organization that represents the rights of its owner and other parties with relevant interests. As VNUK is an educational unit under the University of Danang, the school council of VNUK is also the University of Danang (UD’s) Council. The UD’s Council is responsible for strategic decisions and major issues of VNUK. The UD’s Council has 29 members.
The principal is the legal representative of the institution; in charge of management and administration of the institution’s activities. The designation and dismissal of the principal shall be decided by the University of Danang President. The principal shall be appointed for a 5-year term and may be reappointed for no more than two terms in succession. The VNUK’s Principal, Dr. Nguyen Thi My Huong, is in charge of general work and specific units such as Human Resources, Finance, Facilities, Admissions, the Department of International Business and Management, the Department of Foundational and Foreign Languages, the Administration Office, and centers under the Institute.

The Vice principal gives the managerial assistance in management and administration of the institution’s activities; is in charge of specific areas and tasks assigned by the Principal. The Institute has no more than 3 Vice Principals, which is prescribed by its regulations. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Giang Thi Kim Lien and Dr. Tran The Vu, VNUK’s current vice principals, oversee Training, Quality Assurance, Research and International Cooperation, Biomedical Science and Nanotechnology.

The Science and Training Council has the responsibility to advise the Principal on the following activities:
– Training activities;
– Scientific and technological activities (Science and Technology);
– Business and international cooperation;
– Activities of developing human resources and facilities (materials) for training as well as science and technology;
– Proposing and advising UD on an institution for accrediting the institute’s education quality; methods of testing and evaluating students’ learning and training results; solutions to improve training quality and ensure output quality; assess the quality of websites, journals, science and technology journals (if any), evaluate the organization and management of training, science and technology activities of units in the Institute.
Currently, the Science and Training Council of the Institute has 11 members.
Specialized Faculty is a specialized unit of the Institute established by the President of UD on the basis of the Principal’s proposal. The number and names of the Faculties may be adjusted during the development of the Institute.
The functional offices of the Institute include: Academic Affair Office; Research and International Office, and 06 supporting offices: Administration Office, Department of Financial, Student Associations & Clubs, Quality Assurance, Marcom & Admission, Career Service. The number and names of functional offices can be adjusted and upgraded when meeting all standards during the Institute’s development.
