In recent years, Science and Technology have become a part of Vietnam’s productive forces and deeply impacted the development of each organization as well as the country. Science and Technology play a decisive role in our country’s standard of growth and competing capability.
An important criterion for evaluating the quality of higher education institutions in scientific research, practical application, development, and transferring technology. Scientific research occupies a significant place in the classification system and the ranking of universities due to its positive impact on training quality improvement. Having recognized the importance of scientific activities and technology transfer, the Leaders of Da Nang University and VN-UK Institute for Research and Executive Education have determined to “continue to develop the university in a research-oriented direction, aiming to meet the criteria of classifying the university and be recognized by national and international accrediting organizations”.
With the goal of maintaining and developing a group of well-qualified, creative and responsible scientists, making practical contributions to the education in the business community & society, in tandem with increasing the number of research topics at all levels, VNUK scientific management orientation has gradually shifted to a strategic perspective, diversifying partners, expanding cooperation in many fields and firmly connecting with the locality and business community.
VNUK is currently focusing on the following contents of scientific research:
– Scientific research projects from the state budget include the group of state-level projects, ministerial-level projects, regional university projects, and group grassroots-level projects by the management of VNUK.
– Scientific research topics and technology transfer, linking with business and localities.
– Articles published in National and International science and technology journals.
– Organizing conferences – seminars – specialized science topics.
– Scientific time norms management.
– Publishing textbooks to serve the demands of training at VNUK.
– Management of teaching and research groups.
